Who is responsible

What we collect, and why

If you use the quote form, we collect the name, phone number, product interest and notes you type, and the fact that you ticked the consent box. That is all — the form has no hidden fields.

The exact purpose you agree to is this, word for word: “Use my name, phone number and notes to reply to this enquiry and prepare a quote, and keep it in the Jetage inbox for up to 5 years. No marketing messages unless I ask for them.”

If you message us on WhatsApp, call, or email directly, that conversation is governed by the platform you used rather than by us.

The cost calculator sends us an anonymous note when you press the quote button — your printing volume and which option came out cheapest. It contains no name, number or identifier and cannot be traced back to you.

What we do with it, and what we don't

Your enquiry is used to reply to you and prepare a quote. That is the only purpose, and it is the one you consented to.

• We never sell or rent your information.
• No marketing messages unless you ask for them — an enquiry does not put you on a list.
• No advertising pixels, no tag manager, no analytics product and no tracking cookies. This site runs no third-party scripts at all.
• No profiling, and no automated decisions about you.

Who else receives it

Everyone who touches personal data from this site is listed here, with what each actually receives and where they are. Some are outside India; the DPDP Act permits transfer to any country the Central Government has not restricted, and none has been. Our responsibility for these companies does not pass to them — it stays with us.

• Vercel (United States) — Hosting and content delivery. Requests to the site — the pages you open, your IP address and browser, kept in Vercel's request logs.
• Neon (United States) — Database for the product catalogue, orders, and the staff login. If you place an order — your name, email, phone number, delivery address and what you bought. If you only browse — nothing. Also the product and article content, and the staff accounts that manage it.
• Google (Gemini) (United States) — Powers the chat assistant on the site. Whatever you type into the chat box, plus our product list, so it can answer. On Google's free tier this content may be used to improve their AI models. Nothing you type there is stored by us.
• Razorpay (India) — Takes the payment when you buy something. Your name, email, phone number and the amount payable. Your card, UPI or banking details go straight to Razorpay and never touch this website or our database.
• Hostinger (Lithuania / EU) — Sends and holds the info@jetageindia.in mailbox. Your enquiry — the name, phone number and notes you typed.
• Google (Gmail) (United States) — A second copy of each enquiry reaches a Gmail account. Your enquiry, as above.
• WhatsApp (Meta) (United States) — The quote form opens WhatsApp with your message pre-filled — you choose whether to send it. Whatever you actually send, if you send it. Governed by WhatsApp's own privacy terms, not ours.

How long we keep it

• Enquiry emails in our inboxes — 5 years from the last exchange, then deleted. Hardware buyers often come back years later about the same quote.
• Orders — your name, email, phone, delivery address and what you bought — 8 years, to cover the 72-month GST record-keeping requirement. It is a tax record. Also how we handle a warranty claim or a repeat order years later.
• Payment records held by Razorpay — Retained by Razorpay under their own RBI obligations. Settling the payment, and any refund or chargeback.
• Chat conversations — Not kept by us at all — the conversation is gone when you close the tab. There is no reason to keep it, so we don't.
• Vercel request logs (these include your IP address) — Retained by Vercel on their plan's schedule. Serving the site, and investigating faults or abuse.
• Staff accounts and the admin audit log — While the person works here, then removed. Knowing who changed what in the catalogue.

Being straight about the mechanism: enquiries live in an email inbox, so the five-year clear-out is a person working to a reminder rather than an automatic job. If you would rather not wait for it, ask us and we will delete yours — the links below reach us directly.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

Use these to exercise any of them. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.

• Make a data request — see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted
• Withdraw your consent — as easy as giving it was
• Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer
• Complain to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it

You also have the right to nominatesomeone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to. This right is specific to Indian law. Write to the Grievance Officer with your nominee’s name and contact details and we will record it.

Children

Security, and what happens if something goes wrong

Enquiries live in mailboxes protected by two-factor authentication. The site itself stores nothing about visitors — there is no customer database and no login for customers.

If a personal data breach happens, we will tell the Data Protection Board and everyone affected as soon as we become aware, with a full report to the Board within 72 hours. We will tell you what happened, what data of yours was involved, what you can do to protect yourself, and how to reach us about it.
